Gregory Eger, CPA

Principal

As principal of The Tax Advisors, Greg establishes the tone for commitment and service for the organization. His specialties include return preparation, project implementation and tax resolution services; He brings over 17 years of experience to numerous small businesses including restaurants, auto repair shops, and retail organizations, as well as many independent professionals and entrepreneurs.

Prior to founding The Tax Advisors, Greg worked as Controller for a $1.3 billion regional financial institution where he reviewed the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; drafted quarterly and annual regulatory and compliance filings and managed the monthly close for three reporting entities. In addition, Greg managed the deliverables for external and regulatory auditors, reviewed and approved the daily work product of the accounting department and ensured daily cash disbursements were properly approved.

Other positions included: Senior Forensic Auditor within the Insurance Industry; Senior Accounting Resource for several Fortune 500 Companies; and Senior Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers. These opportunities allowed Greg to develop in-depth analytical procedures and hone his project management approach.

Greg is a Certified Public Accountant and is currently a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
